The Waveform Player

The Waveform Player is a shared playback surface built around a native audio element. It displays the loaded audio as a waveform and keeps the currently loaded track, playback state, and local bounce information together.

Open a playable bounce from the Tracks or Files surfaces. The player then renders the appropriate responsive layout and exposes the controls available for that file.

The player can stay in sync with bounce-scoped comments. When a comment surface selects another bounce, the player changes to that bounce without forcing a disruptive page refresh. Version selection is therefore tied to the loaded file, not to a separate stem-mixer mode.

On the desktop app, local bounce discovery is used for the selected track group. If a required file is missing locally, use Files to inspect or correct the file state rather than relying on an old cloud-only playback flow.
