Download & Install

The Library is activated from its desktop app. After a successful paid checkout, use Download The Library for Mac on the checkout-success page. The download begins straight away; activation-email delivery runs separately and does not hold up the installer download.

Install and open the app

Section titled “Install and open the app”
  1. Download the current macOS installer from the checkout-success page or your activation email.
  2. Open the downloaded .dmg installer and complete the macOS installation flow.
  3. Open The Library desktop app.
  4. Choose Activate subscription for a new paid subscription, or Sign in for an existing account.

The app’s packaged update checks use the current release namespace for The Library. If an update is offered in the app, follow the in-app update flow.

If you need an activation reference

The checkout-success page and activation email can open the activation bridge. That bridge moves the one-time reference into the desktop app; it does not offer browser signup. Treat an activation code or activation URL as a one-time bearer reference and do not share it.
