Dashboard vs Tracks
Use Dashboard for a fast summary of cached dashboard data such as Recent Buckets, Focused Tracks, Kanban, Calendar, and Todos. It is designed to render the last valid account-specific snapshot quickly and refresh only when a real change or explicit action requires it.
Use Tracks when you need to select track groups, filter the catalog, inspect files, or make a supported update through the Activity Panel.
The two surfaces serve different roles. Dashboard is not an authoritative replacement for local file inspection, and Tracks is not a guarantee of a full dashboard refresh after every selection.
