Connected Accounts
This article covers the Dropbox connected-account flow in The Library. It supports Dropbox-backed sharing while local import and local file organisation remain desktop-app responsibilities. Other connection surfaces may appear in Settings, but they are outside this Dropbox workflow.
Connect Dropbox
Section titled “Connect Dropbox”- Open Settings → Connected Accounts.
- Choose Connect Dropbox.
- Complete the authenticated Dropbox OAuth flow in the external browser.
- Return to The Library and review the connection status.
The OAuth request uses a one-time state value and a PKCE challenge. The app does not ask you to enter your Dropbox password into The Library.
Reconnect or disconnect
Section titled “Reconnect or disconnect”When Dropbox reports an expired, revoked, invalid, or otherwise unhealthy token, Settings shows a reconnect-required warning and its primary action is Reconnect Dropbox. Complete OAuth again to restore the connection.
Use Disconnect only when the connection is healthy and you want to remove The Library’s stored Dropbox access. Disconnecting removes the Dropbox token for your account; it does not delete files in Dropbox.
Changing your account email in The Library is a separate verified Profile action. It is not a connected-account action.
