Quick Tour
The first time you enter The Library, the desktop app guides you through a compact, single-column setup flow. It restores the saved step after checking your authenticated onboarding status, so you can continue where you left off.
Profile
Section titled “Profile”Start by confirming the name people will see in The Library. An avatar is optional. A prefilled name is only a starting value; the profile step completes after you save it.
Storage
Section titled “Storage”Next, choose exactly one storage option. Use Dropbox uses the detected Dropbox/THE-LIBRARY folder without opening a picker. Choose a local folder opens the native folder picker and keeps the selected path on this computer.
The app waits for your explicit choice; it does not select Dropbox just because a token exists. A cancelled or failed choice leaves Storage incomplete. Once either branch succeeds, the setup advances directly to Collaborators rather than asking you to choose both options.
Collaborators
Section titled “Collaborators”Finally, add regular collaborators to your central roster or skip the step. New onboarding collaborators receive the managed invite flow when they are saved; track assignment happens later, after import.
